The NUS Helix House Coastal Clean-up brings residents together to act in protecting our natural environment. By removing litter from coastal areas, residents observe first-hand the type and amount of waste discarded and play a small yet direct role in keeping our shores cleaner for a more sustainable marine ecosystem. The NUS Helix House Dialogue in the Dark experience invites residents to step into complete darkness and explore the world through non-visual senses. Guided by facilitators, participants are encouraged to slow down, listen more deeply, and reflect on how they perceive their surroundings and one another. This immersive experience fosters empathy, self-awareness, and meaningful reflection, prompting students to appreciate different abilities and perspectives while gaining deeper insights into inclusion, resilience, and understanding within everyday life.

The NUS Helix House Interfaith Tour gives residents a chance to step outside campus and explore Singapore’s diverse religious and cultural spaces in a fun and meaningful way. Through visits to different places of worship and heritage sites, students learn about various faiths, traditions, and everyday practices while gaining new perspectives and understanding. Past signature tours include the Kampung Glam Heritage Tour, the Harmony in Diversity Gallery Tour, and a visit to Maghain Aboth Synagogue. The tour encourages open conversations, curiosity, and mutual respect, helping students connect across cultures and build a more inclusive Helix community

The Wall Mural Painting is a collaborative art initiative that brings residents together to express creativity and strengthen community bonds. Through this mural, residents contribute their ideas and artistic talents to create a vibrant visual identity that reflects the values, diversity, and spirit of Helix House. The completed murals serve as a lasting symbol of shared experiences and collective ownership of the space.

The NUS Helix House Conversation Series provides a safe and engaging space for residents to learn from real-life stories and meaningful conversations. Featuring alumni and invited speakers, the series explores diverse journeys such as career transitions from Industrial Systems Engineering to carbon trading, navigating internships, and sharing life aspirations and career paths. Through open dialogue and honest reflections, residents gain practical insights, broaden their perspectives, and are encouraged to explore possibilities beyond conventional paths while connecting with others through shared experiences.

The NUS Helix House Hiking event invites residents to explore the great outdoors beyond campus and embrace the spirit of adventure. Traversing scenic trails, natural terrain, and lush landscapes, this hike encourages participants to challenge themselves, reconnect with nature, and discover new perspectives along the way. Through shared exploration and moments of discovery, residents will build resilience, camaraderie, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world together.

The NUS Helix House Drum Fitness & Zumba event combines high-energy movement with rhythm and dance to promote both physical fitness and mental well-being. Through dynamic drumming beats and upbeat Zumba routines, residents engage their whole body, improve coordination, and boost cardiovascular health. At the same time, the session offers a fun and stress-relieving outlet, helping residents recharge mentally, lift their mood, and strengthen social connections through shared movement and music.
