On Saturday, 31 August 2025, Helix House residents swapped their usual weekend routines for the great outdoors at Helix Goes Hiking. The event brought Helixians together for a morning of fresh air, exercise, and exploration, making it a wholesome way to close out the month.

Next time you’re in Basement 1, be sure to stop by the Baking Room and take in the beauty of our freshly painted mural! Designed by Lynn Ng (Year 3 Anthropology), this artwork is a tribute to Singapore’s rich heritage. Inspired by the traditional Singaporean breakfast and iconic artifacts, like the vintage mosaic tables found under HDB void decks, it captures the essence of shared memories and mealtimes.
From Helix To The World – Conversation with Jie Quan, Donghwa, and Li Jie
Ever wondered if you're truly making the most out of your university life? You are definitely not alone, and you're in good company. On August 18th 2025, Helix House hosted their first Signature Event of AY2025/2026 with "Conversations with Jie Quan, Donghwa, and Li Jie". We welcomed back three incredible Helix alumni who made a real impact during their time here, not just as students, but as Resident Assistants who helped shape the community we enjoy today.
Helix House IG Fair Kicks Off Academic Year 2025/2026
To kick-start the new academic year, Helix House held its vibrant Interest Group (IG) Fair on 13th August 2025! The Helix foyer came to life with fresh excitement and energy as Helixians gathered to explore the wide range of IGs Helix has to offer. From IGs such as Pickleball, Bean and Leaf, Helix Band to Helix Knights, BFF and more, there was an IG catered for everyone. While the booths buzzed with energy and chatter, Helixians also enjoyed free bubble tea after completing the IG Fair’s very own bingo challenge. New Milestone Achieved as a House – Flag Bronze!
Description 10As part of Helix FOP 2025, Helix House participated in NUS’ annual Flag Day on 2 August 2025 in the Bishan area! Our freshmen, Orientation Group Leaders, FOP Committee, Resident Fellows, and House Master teamed up to gather donations, ultimately raising over $3800 for the NUSSU ComChest. With the highest flagger count in all of NUS, Helix House proudly clinched Flag Bronze – an achievement we never imagined reaching! This recognition reflects the camaraderie, hard work and dedication of our volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the day.
