Dr. Hoang Truong Giang holds the position of Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at NUS. His main interest is teaching and research in organic synthesis. He also has a keen interest in experiential learning to help students familiarise themselves with the diverse socio-cultural-economic environments in the Southeast Asia region and in the world. He is a meditation practitioner and an outdoor person. He enjoys hiking and exploring different hiking trails. In his free time, he enjoys reading and good coffee. |

Dr Mark GAN is Associate Director at the Centre for Development of Teaching and Learning (CDTL), where he works closely with faculty members to enhance teaching and learning in NUS. As an educational developer, Mark helps colleagues from different faculties and schools in developing their teaching portfolios, writing proposals for educational grants and awards and collaborating on teaching inquiry projects. He also supports undergraduate, postgraduate and full-time teaching assistants to develop and improve their teaching practices. Mark's main research interest is in feedback and its effect on teaching and learning. He holds a PhD in Education from the University of Auckland, supervised by Professor John Hattie. During his free time, he likes reading, playing basketball and learning how to be better at watercolour painting. |

She was a Resident Fellow at Ridge View Residential College (RVRC) for seven years. May’s career at NUS started in facility management with Housing Services before pivoting to residential life managing housing accommodation, student life, finance, maintenance, and human resource at RVRC. She has a Master’s degree in counselling and is constantly finding novel and interesting ways to promote student wellness in both faculty and residential settings. Dr Rafi RASHID has a joint appointment as Senior Lecturer at the NUS Graduate School and Tembusu College where he also serves as Associate Director of Studies. Concurrently, he is the Staff Advisor of the NUS Muslim Society. Rafi has been at NUS ever since he matriculated as an international student in 2002. He stayed at PGPR for 4 years as an undergraduate and is excited about moving back to campus as a Residential Fellow. In this capacity, he looks forward to helping students enrich their learning beyond what is possible in the classroom. He is particularly interested in training students how to improve their communication skills, engage in interdisciplinary inquiry, and recognize the importance of ethical decision-making in everyday life. As an active researcher, Rafi collaborates with local and overseas colleagues to study the role of bacterial lipids in antimicrobial resistance (AMR), which the World Health Organization has declared a serious global health problem. This research inspired him to take his teaching to a global audience via an EdX Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) called "Microbiomes and Sustainability". Rafi spends most of his free time with his 2 young children, aged 7 and 2. He likes walking, reading, and volunteering at non-profit organizations. |
