Helix Hits the Shore: A Coastal Clean-Up Day

On 23rd March 2025, Helixians came together for an interesting and meaningful morning: Helix House’s Coastal Clean-up Day. This event provided Helixians with an opportunity to engage with nature, connect with other residents, and take an active stand for our coastal environment.

The morning started at 8:15am, as participants gathered enthusiastically in the Helix lobby. By 8:30am, everyone boarded the bus heading to East Coast Park. Upon arrival, residents quickly teamed up, and began the coastal clean-up activity scheduled from 9:30am to 10:30am.

At the coastal clean-up, Helixians went around the shoreline, collecting litter on the beach, visibly changing the area into a cleaner, healthier environment. Along the way, Helixians engaged in meaningful conversations and teamwork, strengthening the bonds within the Helix community.

Following the clean-up, the group gathered for a short relaxing session, sharing reflections on their collective effort and reinforcing their commitment to sustainability. The event was a powerful reminder of how small actions can create meaningful change. Through this shared experience, Helixians deepened their commitment to sustainability while building new friendships and a stronger sense of community.
