Helix Watercolour Workshop

Helixians, it’s time to PAINT THE NIGHT AWAY!

On Thursday, 30 October 2025, Helix House residents set aside their screens and picked up their paintbrushes at the Helix Watercolour Workshop, our Signature Event of the semester. The evening offered a calming, creative escape, as Helixians learned to blend colours, layer washes, and paint their very own glowing nightscapes.

Led by Rainbow, a Hong Kong-based artist known for her beautiful cityscape paintings, participants were guided through techniques to capture light, shadow, and movement in watercolour. For many, it was their first time working with the medium, but the room quickly filled with curious brushstrokes, swirling palettes, and plenty of laughter as everyone found their rhythm.

Beyond the paintings, the best part was meeting new faces and creating together. From shared palettes to shared laughter, the workshop brought Helixians closer as they painted their nightscapes side by side.

The Helix Watercolour Workshop was more than just an art session; it was a chance to slow down, learn something new, and create meaningful memories together.
